If you like Team America, you will love Avenue Q

Everytime I am in New York City, I am always rushing. No rushing is an understatement, sprinting is more accurate. Whether it was speedwalking through 20 blocks in Central Park with Deb and Nish because we were late for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, or sprinting through Times Square in the rain with a dozen shopping bags with Chie and Ryan to catch the last chinatown bus. Or deciding at 7:40pm that Bob and I were going to watch a broadway show, and racing across all the theatres in broadway looking for one. So of course, just to keep with the trend, my final visit to the big apple had to be done in style, aka doing the 400 m dash across Times Square because we were late for Avenue Q. The show started at 7pm. At 7pm, Miah and I were on the crawling subway. Of all the days, the train decided to crawl. Deb once said I had that kind of effect on trains. At 7:04pm, we looked like 2 fugitives bursting into a police chase across time square looking for the damm theatre. At 7:11, we bursted in, hyperventilating, and the curtain just gone up. We missed the opening song, but heck, we got to watch it. And it was bloody good. Any show with puppets modelled after seseme street characters, and singing about racism, porn and gay republicans is a riot. Very tongue-in-cheek, witty, thought-provoking and in-your-face. Until the puppets started having sex onstage, then it got a little too in-your-face. Some people brought their kids. I guess they didn't think it would be THAT kind of puppet show.
