I realised I haven't blogged for a fairly long time. It happened sometime in late Feburary when I decided to start engaging and stop narrating my life. I had started to look at life through a third party perspective, through that of an author, a spectator, a photographer, and not as a participant. It is funny how little we realise how mediated our lives are. We look at reality through some form of media. We see car crash victims on TV and read about the lives in our neighbourhood in the newspaper. We find out about our friends' mood through their MSN nicks and we tell people things about ourselves through our blogs. The first thing you learn as a media communication student: You can't prove the tree fell in the forest if it wasn't on the 6 o'clock news.

That being said...I did go to a rather nice afghanistan restaurant last week. Afghan food is delicious!
